The freezer side of our 648PRO was rock solid, which is exactly why I could not work out how the fresh-food compartment had drifted all the way up to 52 degrees. It was the evaporator fan motor — nothing was moving air into the upper cabinet. He had the OEM motor with him, fitted it, and the box was sitting at 38 degrees again by mid-afternoon.

Why Fisher & Paykel Repair Calls for a Specialist Touch
Fisher & Paykel engineers its appliances around ideas most brands never attempted, and that originality is exactly why generalist repair often stumbles on them. The DishDrawer replaces the single tub with two motorized drawers, ActiveSmart refrigeration leans on variable-speed compressors and sensor-driven airflow rather than a simple thermostat, and the ranges pair AeroTech convection with burner tuning that assumes precise gas delivery. A technician who has only worked mainstream American brands can misread these systems. Ours have been on the platform since 2016 and know where each design tends to fail.
Because these units carry model-specific control logic and part geometry, the right diagnosis depends on reading the actual system rather than pattern-matching from other brands. We test motors, sensors, harnesses, and sealed-system pressures on their own terms and then fit genuine OEM or manufacturer-recommended parts so tolerances match the original build. Independent service like ours means you get that brand knowledge without dealer scheduling delays, and you approve the exact price before any work begins.
Colorado's setting shapes the work too. At roughly 5,600 feet across Greenwood Village, the DTC, and Cherry Hills Village, thinner air changes sealed-system pressure readings, alters gas combustion tuning, and shifts how convection ovens move heat. Our winters are dry and our water is mineral-heavy, both of which drive specific failure patterns in refrigeration and dishwashing. We factor all of that into every Fisher & Paykel repair so the fix holds up in this climate.
Each Fisher & Paykel service call carries a flat $89 diagnostic fee, and the precise repair cost is set only after our technician inspects the appliance on-site and you sign off on it.

4.9
Rated 4.9 out of 5, based on 187 customer reviews.
Our Wolf steam oven had been throwing a fill error for weeks and I kept putting off the call, assuming it would turn into an open-ended bill. It was a flat $89 to diagnose, and I had the price of the water pump before he pulled the unit forward an inch. He also mentioned our water is hard enough down here that those pumps rarely see an easy life.
Another company had already been out and told us the drain pump was failing, and quoted us accordingly. This technician spent about twenty minutes with the machine and showed me the drain solenoid was stuck closed — the pump was perfectly healthy. One visit, one part, and the puddle that had been sitting in the bottom of our Cove after every cycle is gone.
What sold me was that he refused to leave early. The condenser fan on our 736TCI had developed a bearing howl you could hear from the dining room, and after replacing it he sat there through two complete compressor cycles to be certain it stayed quiet under load. Most people would have written the ticket and gone.
Fully expected to be told the control board was dead — the column had locked itself out and the panel was showing a UI fault. Instead he cleared the lockout, put the current firmware on it, and charged us for the diagnostic and nothing else. He could have sold me a board that day and I would never have known the difference.
The first visit got it wrong. We were told the water line had frozen up and to give it a couple of days, and of course nothing changed. The second technician found the real fault fairly quickly — the auger motor in the ice maker had seized — and that repair was genuinely careful, tidy, and priced as quoted. Four stars because it should not have taken two trips.
