Answers at a Glance

Who repairs La Cornue ranges near Greenwood Village?

Greenwood Appliance Repair is an independent service company that has worked on French-built La Cornue cooking equipment across Greenwood Village, the Denver Tech Center, and the south Denver corridor since 2016. We are not affiliated with or authorized by La Cornue; we simply specialize in servicing their products with genuine OEM parts. Reach us anytime at (720) 702-9054, answered 24/7, with same-day and next-day visits available.

Does La Cornue service in Colorado account for the high altitude?

Yes. At roughly 5,600 feet along the Front Range, a La Cornue's gas burners, oven combustion, and vault convection all behave differently than they would at sea level, so our technicians tune air-to-gas mixture and check flame characteristics with elevation in mind. We serve Cherry Hills Village, Englewood, Lone Tree, Castle Pines, and the surrounding communities. Call (720) 702-9054 to schedule.

How much does it cost to have a La Cornue looked at?

A flat $89 service-call fee covers the on-site diagnostic visit for any La Cornue range or oven. Because these are hand-built appliances that vary widely by model and configuration, the exact repair price is quoted only after our technician inspects the unit, and you approve it before any work starts. Book online or call (720) 702-9054, open every day from 8 AM to 6 PM.

Why La Cornue Ranges Demand a Different Kind of Repair Skill

La Cornue has hand-assembled its ranges in France since 1908, and that heritage shows in the way the machines are built. The signature vaulted oven, the brass and chrome trim, the cast burner grates, and the enameled steel bodies are engineered to standards that share almost nothing with a mass-market range. A technician who has only worked on volume appliances will not recognize how a Chateau or CornuFe is put together, which is why brand-experienced hands matter when a fault appears.

The Chateau line, along with the more compact CornuFe series, uses a convection oven design La Cornue calls the vaulted vault, where curved interior walls circulate heat for even roasting. When something goes wrong, the cause is often specific to that architecture: a convection fan bearing, a thermocouple that has drifted, or a gas valve that no longer seats cleanly. We diagnose these systems on their own terms rather than forcing generic assumptions onto a bespoke appliance.

Because we operate independently, we are not tied to a single service script, but we still insist on genuine OEM and manufacturer-recommended parts. On a range that a homeowner may keep for decades, a correct burner cap, igniter, or door seal preserves both performance and the resale value of a serious kitchen investment.

Local Service Across the South Denver Corridor

La Cornue ranges tend to anchor the ambitious kitchens of Cherry Hills Village, Columbine Valley, Bow Mar, and the estate neighborhoods around the Denver Tech Center, so we keep our routing tight through Greenwood Village, Englewood, Centennial, Lone Tree, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Castle Pines, and Parker. That geographic focus is what makes same-day and next-day appointments realistic rather than a promise we cannot keep.

Colorado's climate adds wrinkles a coastal technician rarely sees. Dry winter air, wide temperature swings, and thin high-altitude atmosphere all influence how a gas range fires and how consistently an oven holds a set point. We factor those conditions into every visit, and our phone line at (720) 702-9054 stays answered around the clock so you can reach a person the moment a burner or oven stops behaving.

$89 service call

Every La Cornue visit begins with a flat $89 diagnostic service call, and the precise repair figure is presented once our technician has inspected your range in person and you have approved it.

The freezer side of our 648PRO was rock solid, which is exactly why I could not work out how the fresh-food compartment had drifted all the way up to 52 degrees. It was the evaporator fan motor — nothing was moving air into the upper cabinet. He had the OEM motor with him, fitted it, and the box was sitting at 38 degrees again by mid-afternoon.

Our Wolf steam oven had been throwing a fill error for weeks and I kept putting off the call, assuming it would turn into an open-ended bill. It was a flat $89 to diagnose, and I had the price of the water pump before he pulled the unit forward an inch. He also mentioned our water is hard enough down here that those pumps rarely see an easy life.

Another company had already been out and told us the drain pump was failing, and quoted us accordingly. This technician spent about twenty minutes with the machine and showed me the drain solenoid was stuck closed — the pump was perfectly healthy. One visit, one part, and the puddle that had been sitting in the bottom of our Cove after every cycle is gone.

What sold me was that he refused to leave early. The condenser fan on our 736TCI had developed a bearing howl you could hear from the dining room, and after replacing it he sat there through two complete compressor cycles to be certain it stayed quiet under load. Most people would have written the ticket and gone.

Fully expected to be told the control board was dead — the column had locked itself out and the panel was showing a UI fault. Instead he cleared the lockout, put the current firmware on it, and charged us for the diagnostic and nothing else. He could have sold me a board that day and I would never have known the difference.

The first visit got it wrong. We were told the water line had frozen up and to give it a couple of days, and of course nothing changed. The second technician found the real fault fairly quickly — the auger motor in the ice maker had seized — and that repair was genuinely careful, tidy, and priced as quoted. Four stars because it should not have taken two trips.
